Bloomington, Refugio to remain in same district

Advocate Staff Report

Bloomington and Refugio will stay district foes.

The University Interscholastic League's biennial reclassification and realignment did not greatly affect Advocate-area Class 2A schools.

Bloomintgon and Refugio will compete in District 30-2A with Banquete, Odem, Skidmore-Tynan, and Taft.

Industrial, Van Vleck, Tidehaven, and Boling will remain district foes and compete in District 29-2A with Danbury and Hitchcock.

Karnes City, Kenedy, and Nixon-Smiley will be in District 28-2A with current district foes Navarro, Poth, and Stockdale.

District 26-2A will have five Advocate-area teams -- Rice Consolidated, East Bernard, Hallettsville, Schulenburg, and Weimar. Also in 26-2A will be Hempstead and Brazos Consolidated.

Following is the Class 2A reclassification and realignment released Friday by the UIL:
